First Class (5th Years)

Benji tossed a pile of papers carlessly onto his desk. He turned to the board and picked up a piece of bleach white chalk. With his scrawling handwriting he scribbled on the blackboard.

PROFESSOR KANST

Welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts.
1. Seniority takes precedent. I don't care how smart you think you are, I'm teaching the class, not you.
2. I am not your mother, I will not baby you. Bring your books to class and be on time.
3. If you ask a stupid question, you will get a stupid answer.
4. I do not appreciate personal questions. So don't ask them unless you have a dying need to find out something.
5. Are you dying, bleeding to death or throwing up? Well unless you are, don't interrupt me.
6. Remember these rules and you might just survive in this class

Ben took a step back and examined the writing. Good enough. He went to his desk, waiting for the students to arrive.

I walked in and took a seat in the back.

I walked in and sat beside Rae.

Ravyn walked into class and read the board. She took her seat in the back of the class and pulled her books out.

Ben smiled to himself as the three student walked in. He'd already pinpointed who was going to excel in this class and who wouldn't do as well. "The back of the classroom seems popular. Afraid to be near me? I promise, I don't bite." Ben said in a mocking tone.

"Yeah, I don't think so, I already don't like you!" Ravyn Smirked

"I don't think I asked you for your opinion Miss Snape. It doesn't matter if you like me or not, this is Defense Against the Dark Arts not "rate-the-teacher". Just in case you missed that memo."

I walk in class and take a seat near the front mostly because I didn't want to sit with anyone who was sitting in the back.

Ravyn smirked at him and went back to reading her book, she knew that the two of them weren't going to get along.

I walked in and sat down and looked around the room.

Ravyn noticed Harry sit down, she gathered her stuff and sat next to him. She looked at the professor to see what his facial expression would be. "Have you talked to George?"

Ben watched the infamous Harry Potter walk in his own class. His eyes flashed red and he felt a smirk tug on his lips. "Hello Mr. Potter."

Ravyn rolled her eyes at Benji, she thought this class was pointless with him teaching it.

I tried not to glare at the Professor. "Hello Professor." I turned to Rayvn. "Yes, he misses you. He also said that you need to talk to him."

Ravyn couldn't help but let a smile cross her face.

"Yeah, i'm just glad I didn't forget that. Although, I really didn't want my head bashed in by Fred and George."

Ravyn smiled, she was now in a good mood and nothing could change that.

I turn around and look at Ravyn. "Does my sister miss her boyfriend? How sweet." I said sarcastically.

She didn't want to fight not in front of Ben that was, "I do!"

I roll my eyes. "How sickening."

"Is it? Or are you just jealous?"

I laughed. "Nice one Rayvn."

"I have no reason to be jealous. I don't want to be held back by someone like a boyfriend."

"Then why complain?" She asked simply

"What makes you think I'm complaining? I just stated that it's sickening."
