Relaxing by the lake

I was sitting under a tree as I looked at the lake. It was so calm and peaceful here; completely different then my old school. I have to admit though it is nice.

I was walking around the lake and saw Kenji. He looked really peaceful so I just let him be.

I looked over and saw Jasmine. "Hey Jazz, how are you doing?"

I looked over at Kenji. "Hey, I'm just taking a walk. Clear my head. I'm doing okay I guess." I said to him smiling.

"What's on your mind?"

"Alot of stuff." I said simply. "My family, my friends, what's all going on with you-know-who, and some other things..." I said. I couldn't get Kenji off my mind since I met him. He was sweet, nice, and he was cute. I knew he couldn't like me though so I just kept that in my head.

"You know what's good for getting your mind off things? A nice swim." I grin.

I looked at the black lake then back at him. "I don't swim...accutally I can't swim." I said to him blushing. No one knew besides family that I never learned how to swim.

"Well, I'm a very good swimmer. I could teach you."

I blushed. "Well...I don't know..." I thought it over for a minute. "Fine...just don't let me drown." I said with a small nervous smile.

"Don't worry. I won't let you drown. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." I jump into the lake and then look at Jasmine. "Come on." I said, holding out my arms for her.

I walked into the water and went towards Kenji. I was a bit nervous but trusted Kenji.

I held Jasmine as we floated in the water. "See, it's not so bad." I smiled at her.

I smiled at him. "Yeah, I guess it's not that bad." I said to him.

"Swimming is really fun once you know how and it's not that hard to learn especially when you have a great teacher like me."

I smiled and rolled my eyes.

'So, do you want to try swimming on your own? I will be right here if you need me."

"Okay." I said a bit nervously. I swam a little bit away and right back. "Hey I did it!" I said excitedly.

"That's really good. I knew you could do it. Am I a great teacher or what?" I laugh.

I laughed. "Thanks Kenji." I said smiling at him.

"No problem. I'm always here to help."

I smiled and started swimming around.

"Isn't swimming fun?" I said as I floated on my back. "Oh look, that cloud looks like dinosaur."

"Yes it is." I said and looked up and saw the cloads. "I see a dog." I said laughing.

"I see an alligator. I use to do this with my little sister all the time. She loves it."
