Slytherin Table

"Well, I hate to tell you, not many people know who my dad is, or was.." she shook her head at the thought of it, "All they know is that I was adopted by the Weasleys and that is all they need to know!"

"Alright, alright," he grinned, pouring another glass. Pumpkin juice was truly disgusting, but drinking a lot helped to keep his Thirst down - he would rarely be caught without a bottle of water in lessons.

Ravyn closed her book and laid her quill on top of it. She reached over and grabbed the orange juice, she hadn't even touched the bacon she got earlier. "Anyways, You wouldn't of known who's daughter I was if you hadn't heard the argument.

"I know your surname is Snape, and he left the year before I joined. I heard Dumbledore mention him in the Start Of Term Feast seven years ago. Those are the little things you don't think of, silly girl," he added, tapping her on the head again and smirking.

((Snape is still there in the 5th book))

She smacks his hand away, "Well what ever." she said getting annoyed. "At least it isn't..." She cringed.

[Oops, my bad. Mental typo. ]

"At least...it isn't...what?" he asked slowly, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"Well, you know, that Kendrix's last name?" she shuttered again.

"Lestrange, isn't it? Well, that's not at all bad for a Slytherin to have," he said, shrugged and pouring yet another drink.

"Thirsty are we?" she asked looking at him for what she thought was the first time, "Why do you like her anyway, besides she's" she makes air quotes and says "beautiful"

He shrugged and began to gulp the juice down. "I don't know; she keeps herself to herself, she's cold for fear of actually having to admit that she has emotions - like me - she rises generally rises above arguments, oh, and she opened up to me. She talked to me properly, and I get the feeling she's normally quite reluctant to make proper conversation..."

Ravyn looked away trying not to laugh, "Wow,"

"You may scoff," he continued, hastily pouring yet another drink. He was very thirsty today, and didn't want to take it out on the innocent but irritating Ravyn. "But you asked for the truth. Why do you hate her?"

She looked at him again and then down, "I don't" she muttered

"Why...do...you...get angry...with her, then?" he asked between gulps of juice. "Sorry about this, by the way," he added, having finished the glass. "It helps keep the bloodlust away."

"Because it's easier." Trying to change the subject she looked at the wall, "Whats it like being a Vampire?"

"Tough," he admitted, finally stopping himself from pouring another drink. "But I haven't really known anything else. I don't remember the time before my father bit me, because he did it when I was six months old, so I just don't know any different. It hurts so much when there's no blood around, though. There was none over the summer and we thought we would die. But at least there's always animals here, if I can't find a suitably unknown student to pounce on. Incidentally, that's what I was doing when I saw Kendrix."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't do anything to her." She smiles slightly, then realizes who's she's talking to, "Don't you dare tell her are anyone else what I just said!"

He tapped the side of his nose and winked. "Say no more, say no more..."

Ravyn thought it was strange that she was talking freely to him, "I mean it!"

"Alright," he muttered, laughing. She was a very funny one, this Ravyn. Mind you, all girls are a bit like that; hate and love, all mixed up. If they hate you, it's normally because they love you but are too embarrassed to admit that they - and how wonderful they are - could ever love anyone, he thought to himself, smiling secretly in the knowledge he had finally worked a bit of her out.

I sat at the Slytherin table as I wrote a letter back to my mum. I had been avoiding her for awhile so I finally decided I should talk to her.

"It seems that the whole family is bound to get one." Ravyn muttered to Eris.

I looked at Ravyn. "Yeah well almost the whole family are death eaters. My mom wants me to become one like her and my dad, but...I don't know how to explain it. Just something seems not right."

"Well, I know that my parents are and even my adopted dad is. But I understand."

"I have been told that my dad tried to run from the death eaters and Voldemort and because of that he was killed. I don't know what it is, but I just have this feeling that their is more to it."
