Joanna's arrival

Joanna smiled as she took a bite of her sandwich " Hum nice" she took a drink of her nettle tea to wash it down. she noticed the new comer her eyes watching him.
Finishing her food she pushed the plate to one side and drank her nettle tea as her blues eyes flashed from the light inside the bar, placing the cup on the counter Joanna spoke "who's he?" she asked, the merest hint of a smile crossing her pink lips.

"That's Casey, he's a sixth year at the school," Ravyn saw that no one was helping him so she went over and asked to take his order.

Joanna watched as Ravyn crossed to him and took his order , for some reason she was fascinated by him , till Jess padded her leg , looking down she smiled to him "OK here" she slipped a small piece of bacon down but glanced back up her brown eyes studying him "I think he'll be interesting to teach" she said softly "Maybe a challenge" She smiled again but it didn't last long"If i ever get the chance to teach" with a sigh she sat back up on the bar stool she reached out her hand and her book appeared again this time turning to a page with inked images, she sighed again as she looked at them.

Casey noticed a lady staring at him, he couldn't help but wonder why. "Hey Ray, who is that?"

Ravyn looked over at the women he was asking about, "That's professor Carpenter, She's going to be teaching Charms."

Joanna smiled warmly to the man holding up her cup she saluted him then took a sip wondering if he would talk to her or just had come to talk to Ravyn.

Ravyn looked at her and then him. Shaking her head she walked back over to the Professor, grabbing her plate and putting it in the sink, "Oy, Miss. Snape," She turned to the cook who had just yelled at her, "What is it Hector?" she asked, "I have something for the dog" he handed a plate of mush with gravy. Ravyn laughed and handed it to Joanna, "for the doggy."

Casey watched Ravyn walk away and smiled. He then got up and  took a seat by the lady "So you are the new professor?"

Joanna looked at him and smiled when Ravyn gave her the plate *tell you cook thank you* she placed it on the floor by Jess then sat up "yes I'll be teaching flitwicks class" she said warmly.

"Are you a tough teacher or an easy teacher?"

Joanna smiled and looked at him "I am a fair teacher" she said

Casey smiled, "Well, Fair doesn't help my case!"

Joanna looked at him "then plead you case" she said "tell me about it and let me make my desichion"

"Casey!" Ravyn said with shock, "I don't think that you are being nice!"

Casey laughed, "Well, I don't have a case to state YET, and I repeat YET, butI will." he then looks a Ravyn and starts making kissy faces to her and then laughs.

Joanna smiled turning back to the bar she held out her hand and her book appeared she opened it and held her hand over it "well when you do I will listen" She said closing her hand the book disappeared. Her eyes looked at him from where she sat.

"Impresive! He says looking at her hand, "But I have a year and I can do that!"

Joanna smiled again " it takes patience and concentration " she said then with a swift movement of her hand she opened it to show a single gold coin " you are all ready learning by observing" she threw the coin into the air and it disappeared appearing on the bar on her plate.
