Midnight Hunting

I smirk. "You're pretty good. Yes, I am in Slytherin. And I'm in my fifth year."

"Well, I'm very surprised I haven't noticed a pretty face like yours around the common room before," he murmured, smiling more genuinely this time. "Normally it wouldn't have taken me this long to become acquainted with you." He sounded truly upset about this.

"Well, I usually stay to myself and away from people. I'm very good at hiding when I don't want to be seen. Why do you sound so upset? It's not like you were missing out on anything."

"Oh but I was," he replied quickly in a husky whisper. "I was missing out on you."

"I'm nothing great. I'm just another person in the world. I'm sure there are a lot more girls out there that are better then me."

"Well I happen to think you're very beautiful. I've only known you for half an hour and you interest me greatly - something which is very difficult to achieve." He shifted a little closer to her, but not too much. He didn't want to frighten her or disturb her again, like he had when he'd touched her hand.

I wasn't use to people saying I was beautiful so I was silent for a minute. Finally I said, "Thanks. And I don't know how I interested you since when we first met I barely talked to you." Just then Ravyn walked up. "Yes, aunt Narcissa replied to me and I have the letter right here." I hold up the letter. "And did you ever think that we are fraternal?"

"We would still have something similar but we don't!" She looks at her and rolls her eyes, "I refuse to accept your parents as mine! My father was more my parent than any of yours!"

"Well duh. My parents have been in Azkaban my whole life so of course they wouldn't be good parents. And we do have something similar: the necklaces."

Ravyn rolled her eyes again, "I wouldn't care if they were dead most of your life! and I mean characteristics not materiel Items!" she shook her head and muttered, "I know who got the brains in the family and it sure in the hell aint you!"

"I was being sarcastic." I said as I stood up. "And just for that I won't tell you what my aunt wrote."

"Well, What ever. Do what you want with that information it doesn't bother me." She tried to hide the fact that it did bother her.

I smirked because I knew that it did bother her. "All right, I won't tell you then since it doesn't bother you."

"Will you just tell me so we can get this thing done and over with!"

"I thought you said it didn't bother you? But fine if you MUST know. Aunt Narcissa said that when the Ministry went to capture...our parents...that was hard to say...anyway, when that happened we some how got seperated. Obviously Snape found you, but where you went I'll never know. Maybe you got frightened by the chaos and crawled away."

Ravyn was getting mad, she hated that word, 'Our Parents' just thinking of it she cringed, "They are not my parents!"

"Well, if it is true that we are twins then they are your parents."

"They will never be my parents! My only parent teaches her as the potions Professor!"

"Your adopted parent." I mumbled.

She laughed, "Snape is not my adopted parent!"

"So you think. If we aren't related how do you explain the necklaces?"

"It's just a coincidence. If I really have to repeat my self I will, MY FATHER gave me my necklace, not your parents my father! all your parents are to me, are sperm and egg donners !"

"You keep telling yourself that. I'm not going to argue with you. I'm not in the mood. Believe or don't believe whatever you want."

"How can you accept them as your parents if they haven't been there for you? So what if they are in Azkaban, You haven't heard from them have you?"
